Last weekend we headed to San Antonio to cheer on Daddy running in the Rock "n" Roll Half Marathon.
He has been training for months and months. We are so proud of him!

Sunday morning Daddy headed out the door super early to get started at the race. Mommy and the cheering crew grabbed breakfast and headed to the sidelines. After a few tries, we finally found a good spot to wait for Collin to run past.
And I'd like to go ahead and designate honorable mention to myself for strapping Cole on with the baby carrier and pushing the big boys in the double stroller about 4 miles for the morning's events...
As soon as I realized just how many people were running I knew Collin would excel. Being his wife, I've been to an airport or two with this man. And I know that somewhere deep inside something happens in his mind when in a crowd...Beat everyone.
I was smitten to realize that the same instincts that I've witnessed shoulder to shoulder pushing past elderly and children (ok ok, not really) :) would push him to his best time ever!

And we waited and waited at the 12 mile marker, I promised that Daddy would be running by any minute...
Caleb was very concerned that Daddy wasn't the winner :)
And there he is!
He even ran over to get some high fives for encouragement...
Collin finished the 13.1 miles in 1 hour 56 minutes and 30 seconds.
He was in the top 12% of everyone who ran the half that day.
And for all that hard work he got a tee shirt and a medal, but nothing beats a celebration with these three fun boys!
If you want to see a live video of him crossing the finish or at another part of the race, check this out:
