Caden and the Principal's Breakfast Award

Caden (6 years) with Principal Caddy

This morning Caden was recognized at the Principal's Breakfast Ceremony :)

Each teacher gets to nominate two students for the year and they come to the library for a breakfast and get to receive an award from the principal of the school for being recognized.

Sweet Caden.
When the school year started I was worried about the influence of teachers and students I did not know that would be with him more hours of the day that I am on weekdays.
Would he learn bad words, bad behaviors?
This little one can't help it, he is a first born at heart.
He hasn't broken a single rule the entire year.
The teacher and kids in his class have vouched for it, not me.

Its just in his heart to obey, to listen, to follow the rules.
There have been tears of frustration over why the rest of his class won't obey too.
Followed by many discussions about how the rest of the world
doesn't always do the right thing just because you do.
And many reminders that doing your best is what counts.

I'm so proud of my little guy.
He is the sweetest, most tender hearted, gentle yet serious, soccer loving, rule following, boy.

Rodeo Rumble….

There is nothing better than a visit from our cousins for the weekend…
except a visit from our cousins AND a trip to the rodeo!

Austin moms…
Do you know about the rodeo rumble?
You register your kids to run a 1K around the rodeo arena. They get a number, ice cream, and a cow bell. Your whole family gets free parking and free admission to the fairgrounds that day! Seriously!

Even Uncle Collin was having a fun time!

Caleb sweetly sharing his post race ice cream with cousin Brynna...

Look at those ice cream licking cousins all lined up:
Caden 6, Adalyn 4, Brynna 2 (almost 3), Caleb 4, Cole 2, Collin 34 :)

We got to see some cool show livestock

And the petting zoo

And there was a band and some impromptu Bartley dancing

What a fun trip! We love you cousins!
Austin Rodeo Rumble review- two thumbs up!
